My name is Ben Eltham and I'm an academic in the Faculty of Arts at Monash University. I'm also a proud NTEU member, and President of the Union branch here at Monash.

I’m writing to invite you to an information session on the current status of enterprise bargaining negotiations at Monash University, hosted by the National Tertiary Education Union.

The session will be from 12pm-1pm, Thursday 31 August on Zoom and is open to all Monash University staff. Register to attend.

Your colleagues in the Union have been fighting for an above-inflation pay-rise, greater job security and fair workloads for nearly 12 months now. Some progress has been made, but there's still a long way to go before we achieve the outcome we all want.

Even if you're not a member of the NTEU, these negotiations will affect you. To show your support for NTEU claims, please sign the petition to Monash University Council.
